Trees may be stuck in the ground, but they clearly have some desirable characteristics – after all, who wouldn’t want to live in a beautiful forest for a few thousand years? But, of all the things trees are famous for, their height inspires the most awe.
Trees live in the best of both worlds, heaven, and earth. They get a taste of soil with roots planted in the ground, while their upper reaches soak up the sun and touch the sky. But, unlike Jack’s proverbial beanstalk, scientists say they can’t keep growing upwards indefinitely.
