Oceania is like the world’s greatest island-hopping adventure, but with extra twists. It’s a sprawling region in the Pacific Ocean, home to Australia, New Zealand, and a bunch of islands that are basically nature’s confetti, sprinkled across the world’s largest ocean. Australia is the big sibling, known for kangaroos, the Great Barrier Reef, and a landscape that will either amaze you or try to kill you (we’re looking at you, venomous critters). New Zealand is like Middle-earth with Wi-Fi, where sheep outnumber people, and everyone’s a rugby fan by birth. Then you’ve got the Pacific Islands—Fiji, Samoa, and pals—where it’s always postcard-perfect, and every day feels like a holiday. These islands are where you go if you want to escape the hustle, live in a hut, and maybe learn to surf. Oceania is also the only continent that includes a country which is both a continent and an island (Australia, doing all the heavy lifting). It’s a place where the accents are charming, the wildlife is unique, and the scenery is straight out of a travel brochure—but with the added excitement of possibly encountering a bird that hasn’t changed since the dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
