Unsurprisingly, the United States has retained its position as the world’s most powerful country for 2021, according to the CEOWORLD magazine’s annual ranking, which is based on perceived power and influence. According to the report, the United States is the “world’s most dominant economic and military power.” America has a significant cultural impact on the rest of the world because of how its popular culture is expressed in music, movies, books, and television shows.
Some may argue that power is all about a country’s political prowess, while others point to its strong military and defense systems. According to the CEOWorld Magazine 2021 report, the most powerful countries in the world are those that constantly shape global economic policies and dominate the world through seven attributes: political stability, economic influence, defense budget, country’s weapons, global alliances, soft power, and military strength.
UPDATED: Russia is the third most powerful country (in 2021) but in 2023 Russia isn’t in the top 20.
